The two mathematicians Farkas Bolyai and his son János have lived and created in Târgu-Mureș. Their artefacts and manuscripts are kept at the Bolyai Museum founded in 1937 within the Calvinist College of Târgu-Mureș. The Museum and the library of the College – that also houses the 20,000 pages of Bolyai manuscripts – have been transferred to the Teleki Library in 1955.
